Saratoga Symphony concert coming Sunday

One of the West Valley’s premier arts groups is gearing up for a concert this weekend, bringing music from multiple continents to audiences.

The free concert, set for Sunday, March 8, will have performances of Weber, Bortkiewicz, Bossi, Bandermann, and MacDowell, highlighting music from Europe, North America, and the Russian Empire.

Piano soloist Ron Brickman will perform a piano concerto during the concert, while the string orchestra will have special highlights.

Dr. Jason Klein is the symphony’s music director, which is in its 32nd season. Dr. Klein speaks to the audience about each piece before the performance, sharing background and context information.

Sunday’s performance is at the McAfee Center in Saratoga, 20300 Herriman Ave.
