Buying a home is a daunting task, particularly with the sticker shock that can come with any West Valley home.
Buying a home for the first time can be even more overwhelming.
To help provide potential first-time homebuyers navigate the process, a workshop this week in Sunnyvale will provide background and information. It is similar to a series of events hosted by the City’s Housing Division in the fall of 2019.
This session, set for Wednesday, January 29, will feature financial advisor Shane Jacksteit, real estate agent Michael Majchrowicz, and loan officer Cindy Solis. They will discuss how to set expectations on the buying process, ideas and strategies for judging the financial affordability of a property, and how to navigate the lending processes before a sale.
The event, held in the Sunnyvale Library Program Room, 665 W. Olive Ave., is free to attend and does not require registration. It runs from 7 to 8 p.m.
