In his second year as Mayor of Cupertino, Steven Scharf is set to deliver his state of the city speech on Wednesday evening.
The free event is set to run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on January 29, with doors opening at 6 p.m. at Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Rd.
At last year’s event, Scharf gave remarks twice – once in the afternoon and once in the evening – with a focus on traffic, the library, the City’s fiscal health, housing, open space, resident engagement, and ways to make City Council meetings more enjoyable.
Questions on housing, homelessness, development, and congestion continued to plague Cupertino in 2019, and council meetings still regularly last until well into the late evening hours.
Scharf was re-elected Mayor by his council colleagues earlier this month.
