Cupertino Spelling Bee Saturday Afternoon

The annual Cupertino Spelling Bee is back in full force this Saturday, January 25, for students in grades 4-6. The event is a fun community gathering that serves to highlight the talents of Cupertino’s young people.

This contest, set for 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, is held in Cupertino Community Hall, 10350 Torre Ave. Registration must happen in advance, either online here, by faxing the registration form to 408-777-1305, or through a walk-in visit to the Quinlan Community Center at 10185 N. Stelling Rd.

Spectators are welcome at the bee, with a $5 entry fee or a canned food donation for West Valley Community Services. The most in-demand foods include meals in a can (stew, chili, soup), canned meats, peanut butter, boxed meals, and more.

Importantly, Cupertino’s Spelling Bee is not affiliated with the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

In addition to more details on the rules and procedures for the bee, a number of study resources are also available here.
