Bikes for Tykes distribution Tuesday in Cupertino

A suspected bike theft was arrested in Cupertino Wednesday night after he was seen loading bikes into a pickup truck.

Cupertino Rotary is kicking off 2020 with an event helping get young residents onto bikes.

In partnership with Good Karma Bikes, the San Jose-based bike shop, Cupertino Rotary volunteers are helping repair bikes and are then distributing them to low-income or homeless youth as part of the Bikes for Tykes program.

Volunteers are making the repairs at the Good Karma shop, 460 Lincoln Ave., in San Jose on Saturday before making the distributions on Tuesday, January 14 at West Valley Community Services, 10104 Vista Dr. in Cupertino.

Tuesday’s distribution event runs from 1 to 5 p.m.
