With holiday celebrations continuing across the West Valley, following last week’s Thanksgiving break, a pair of events this weekend will bring joy and cheer to families in Cupertino.
On Friday, December 6, Cupertino Parks and Recreation will host their annual community tree lighting. The event, which begins at 6 p.m., will feature live music, caroling, refreshments, and a visit from Santa. A holiday movie screening, games, and crafts will provide activities for the whole family.
Admission to the event, held at Quinlan Community Center – 10185 N. Stelling Rd., is free though organizers ask families to bring non-perishable canned goods or toys for donation to West Valley Community Services.

The following morning, on Saturday, December 7, Santa and his elves will be posing for pictures with local children at the Breakfast with Santa Event.
The City, in partnership with the De Anza Optimist Club of Cupertino, is hosting the event featuring North Pole pancakes, holiday crafts, and a mimosa bar. The event, also set for Quinlan Community Center, has seating options at 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are $16 for Cupertino residents and $19 for non-residents. Alcohol costs are extra.
