Food swap in Sunnyvale Saturday

For those in the West Valley who are creating homemade food goods, including jams, herbs, pickled items, and more, a gathering in Sunnyvale this weekend offers a chance to meet like-minded neighbors and swap items and ideas.

Food Swap Silicon Valley, the group that hosts these gatherings in multiple locations across the Bay Area, is organizing this event on Saturday, November 9, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

According to organizers “From herbs to honey, jellies to jam…we provide a space for you to swap and share your favorite home-crafted delicious delights.” Additionally, those with fruit, vegetable, or herb abundances are encouraged to bring those items as well.

Between 3 and 4 p.m. attendees will have a chance to get set up, meet other swappers, and enjoy potluck food offerings, while the actual swaps begin at 4 p.m.

Attendees are asked to label their food items, bring samples for others to try and test, and to bring at least five to ten items for swapping.

Organizers will release location details, including the specific address in Sunnyvale, to attendees who register in advance.
