To raise awareness and comfort around cycling, and to explore bike-friendly routes across the city, bike-riders from across Palo Alto are gathering Sunday for their tenth-annual Bike Palo Alto event.
Starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 29th, there are four different ride options planned for attendees. Each has different stops planned, with treats and activities along the way to keep everyone entertained. The longest, which covers each of the three shorter routes, clocks in at 18.3 miles.
The event kicks off Walk and Roll Week at Palo Alto’s schools, focusing in on making the city a safe place for parents and children to walk or bike to school – and the other activities throughout their lives.
Bike rentals are available, and the event is looking for volunteers.
Registration and rides start from Fairmeadow Elementary, 500 East Meadow Dr., in Palo Alto.
