As the school year gets back into session across the West Valley, many high school juniors and seniors – and their parents – may be thinking about the next step: college applications.
For many, applying to college can be a frustrating and time-intensive process filled with lots of information from lots of sources. An event in Sunnyvale this week is hoping to help quell some of these anxieties and provide useful information to upcoming applicants.
The event is set for Thursday, August 22, at Fremont High School’s Shannon Theater in Sunnyvale, 575 W. Fremont Ave. It will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
It will cover how to select the right college list, strategies for writing and submitting applications, insight on the interview process, and more information on good resources for handling the endeavor.
Presented by the Fremont High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), Syrous Parsay will be the featured speaker. Mr. Parsay is a mentor to numerous college students and corporate executives.
