Volunteer fair for environmental groups coming to Palo Alto

A number of local non-profit organizations and community groups, all focused on environmental, wildlife, green space, or habitat restoration causes, are coming together for a volunteer fair this weekend.

Hosted at the Palo Alto Baylands Duck Pond, 2560 Embarcadero Rd., on Saturday, August 17, the event is for all ages.

It will feature a number of hands-on activities in addition to the information stations from the organizations present.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free to attend.

Only one activity, a bird walk, requires advanced registration, which can be completed here.
