Parks “master plan” to be discussed at meeting tonight

The City of Cupertino is asking residents to ponder what the park system will look like in 20 years.

The City is developing what it calls a citywide parks and recreation system master plan that will help city officials “guide future improvements to parks, recreation facilities, trails, programs, and events.”

The master plan is a document that is in its final stages. Residents can attend a special Parks and Recreation Commission meeting tonight; Thursday, Jan. 24.

The meeting is expected to last from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be held in the Cupertino Community Hall, 10350 Torre Ave.

Residents can also share and provide feedback on the plan by taking a survey. Paper comment cards are available, and can be turned in, at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road; and the Cupertino Senior Center, 21251 Stevens Creek Blvd.
