The holiday season has arrived, which means it’s time to light the tree at Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road.

The beloved tradition will take place on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m., where friends and family can attend for free.

This annual event is packed with seasonal activities, such as a countdown to the tree lighting, music and caroling, a holiday-themed movie screening, refreshments, and a visit from Santa Claus himself.

The tree lighting ceremony is also an opportunity to donate non-perishable canned goods or toys. All donations will be given to West Valley Community Services.

To have photos taken with Santa, numbers will be distributed at an information booth outside the front door of the Quinlan Center. Numbers will become available on Nov. 29 beginning at 5:45 p.m.

Portions of the event will be held outside, so warm clothes are recommended.
