The City of Cupertino and the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society are teaming up to put on Wildlife and Harvest Day on Oct. 20 at Blackberry Farm in Cupertino.

Organizers expect hundreds of families to visit the City’s recreation facility to celebrate and learn about birds, nature, ecology and wildlife. Organizers estimate there will be more than a dozen nature-oriented organizations at the event. Live animals demonstrations, educational presentations, free hands-on activities, an early morning bird walk and nestbox and bird feeder construction are just some of the things visitors can expect.

Admission is free, however there is a small fee to participate in nestbox construction.

Wildlife and Harvest Day will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Blackberry Farm is located at 21979 San Fernando Ave. Organizers say there will be limited onsite parking at Blackberry Farm, but additional parking will be provided a short walk away at Monta Vista High School.
