The final Teen Poetry Slam Series workshop will take place at the Cupertino Library on Sept. 26 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event, hosted by Cupertino Poet Laureate Kaecey McCormick, will be led by Santa Clara County Poet Laureate Mike McGee and poetry slam expert Kim Johnson to help introduce “slam” to participating teens.
This event is for teenagers in sixth grade and above. Registration is required to attend, and can be done at the Cupertino Library.
This will be the second and final workshop of the Teen Poetry Slam series, which aims to get youths interested in the performance of slam poetry. This workshop is also designed to prepare local teens for the second annual Cupertino Teen Poetry Slam on Oct. 3.
