Over 140 kids to attend football STEAM camp at Stevens Creek Elementary

More than 140 undeserved K-6 Bay Area students have the opportunity to participate in the first-ever “Summer STEAM & Football Training Camp series” starting July 31 at the YMCA of Silicon Valley’s Summer Day Camp at Stevens Creek Elementary, 10300 Ainsworth Drive.

The free camp will include five rotating stations that will offer a fun way for youth to learn about health, fitness and concepts in sports that relate to science, technology, engineering, art and math, or STEAM, organizers said in a statement.

The event is hosted by the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers and the Bay Area Host Committee in partnership with YMCA of Silicon Valley.
