The California Highway Patrol is appealing to the public for any information about the series of pellet gun shootings and/or vandalism incidents targeting charter buses over the past two months on Interstate Highway 280 from Woodside to Cupertino.
We first learned about such incidents in mid-January, when four charter buses carrying Apple workers and another carrying Google workers suffered damaged windows as they traveled down the highway during both the morning and evening commutes. The vandalism prompted some tech companies to reroute buses.
The Golden Gate Division Special Investigations Unit is investigating the incidents and is asking anyone with information to call 1-800-TELL-CHP (1-800-835-5247) or to send a private message to this Facebook page. Information can be reported anonymously.
“We appreciate any information provided, and look forward to putting a stop to these senseless shootings,” the CHP said.
