On Sunday afternoon, Santa Clara County firefighters performed a low-angle rescue of a hiker who fell from a trail and down an embankment at Linda Vista Park in Cupertino.
“Crews successfully performed a low-angle rescue of the patient, who had sustained minor injuries,” according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department. “A great example of why our crews practice these specialized skills regularly!”
Low-angle rescues involve angles of up to about 15-35 degrees.
