The co-founder of a website that uses photo contributions from citizens to track the movements of whales worldwide is set to speak at a Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society event in Palo Alto on Oct. 18.
Ted Cheeseman, CEO and Co-founder of HappyWhales.com, is scheduled to speak at the free Speaker Series: Understanding California’s Whales at Cubberley Community Center, Room H1, 4000 Middlefield Road.
Refreshments will be served starting at 7:30 p.m., and the program starts at 8 p.m.
Cheeseman, a Santa Cruz resident, began whale watching at an early age. He has led wildlife and marine mammal focused tourist expeditions for Cheesemans’ Ecology Safaris for over 20 years, according to the SCVAS website.
