The Cupertino Pioneers came out on the winning side of their nail-biting Homecoming game against the Fremont Firebirds.
Fans rattled and cheered in the stands as the Pioneers scored the game winning touchdown during overtime, making the final score 49-42.
The Pioneers are sitting pretty with an overall 3-2 record so far this season and is scheduled to play their next game against Mountain View High School at 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the Spartans’ home field.
